Greenhouse peppers
Fresh peppers from the greenhouses of Şanlıurfa, including the geothermally heated houses of Karaali.
Fresh peppers grown under cover. In the Karaali district of Şanlıurfa the greenhouses are heated with geothermal water, so peppers are harvested through the winter as well.
They are sold fresh, and are a different product from isot, the dried pepper Şanlıurfa is known for.

Karaali
Karaali is a greenhouse district on the Harran Plain in Şanlıurfa. Geothermal water at 42-48 °C, found here in 2000, heats the houses, and most of them grow in soilless systems.
